A simple, creamy, and spicy buffalo chicken dip made in a crockpot with just three ingredients. Perfect for game day, potlucks, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 450g or 1 lb)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (about 120ml)
  • Optional: 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: chopped green onions or celery
  • Optional: ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping

Instructions

  1. Shred cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Soften cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for 30 minutes or microwaving for 20 seconds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and buffalo wing sauce; stir until smooth.
  4. Fold shredded chicken into the buffalo cream cheese mixture until coated.
  5. Pour mixture into crockpot and spread evenly.
  6. Cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring halfway through.
  7. After cooking, stir well; if too thick, add a tablespoon of milk or more buffalo sauce to loosen.
  8. Serve warm, optionally garnished with shredded cheese or chopped green onions.

Notes

Always soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Use rotisserie chicken for best flavor and convenience. Stir gently during cooking to keep chicken texture intact. If dip is too thick after cooking, add milk or buffalo sauce; if too thin, cook uncovered for 10-15 minutes to reduce liquid. Can be made ahead by mixing ingredients in crockpot insert and refrigerating overnight.
