A quick and easy deviled eggs recipe featuring a creamy filling and a crunchy everything bagel seasoning topping, perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
  • Chives or green onions, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place 6 large eggs in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water by about an inch (around 3 cups or 750 ml). Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat (about 10 minutes). Once boiling, remove the pot from heat and cover it with a lid. Let the eggs sit for 12 minutes to cook through while you prep the rest.
  2. Drain the hot water carefully and transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let them chill for at least 5 minutes to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
  3. Gently tap each egg on the counter, then roll it to crack all over. Peel under running water to help loosen the shell if needed. Pat dry and slice each egg in half lengthwise.
  4. Carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Set the whites on a serving platter.
  5. Mash the yolks with a fork or potato masher until crumbly. Add 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Stir until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Using a spoon or piping bag, dollop or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  7. Generously sprinkle 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning over the top of the filled eggs.
  8. Optionally, scatter some finely chopped chives or green onions on top for color and fresh taste.
  9. Cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

Use eggs about a week old for easier peeling. Add extra mayo or a teaspoon of olive oil if filling feels dry. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning just before serving to keep it crunchy. For a lighter version, swap mayo with Greek yogurt or vegan mayo for dairy-free. Avoid freezing deviled eggs as it affects texture.
