  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream (full-fat)

  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or maple syrup/honey as alternatives)

Instructions

  1. Make the Cold Brew Coffee (12-18 hours):
  2. a. Measure 1 cup (85g) of coarsely ground coffee beans.
  3. b. Combine coffee grounds with 4 cups (950 ml) cold filtered water in a mason jar or cold brew maker.
  4. c. Stir gently to saturate all grounds.
  5. d. Cover and steep in the fridge for 12 to 18 hours.
  6. e. Strain coffee through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth or nut milk bag into a clean jug.
  7. f. Refrigerate strained cold brew until ready to use.
  8. Make the Vanilla Sweet Cream (5 minutes):
  9. a. In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons sugar.
  10. b. Whisk with an electric mixer on medium speed until mixture thickens slightly and forms soft peaks (3-4 minutes).
  11. c. Avoid over-whipping; cream should be thick but pourable.
  12. Assemble Your Drink (2 minutes):
  13. a. Fill a glass with 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee and ice cubes.
  14. b. Slowly pour ¼ cup (60 ml) vanilla sweet cream over the coffee to float on top.
