A quick and healthy dinner featuring crispy skin salmon and tender broccoli coated in a sweet-savory honey garlic glaze, all cooked conveniently in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each), fresh or thawed
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (about 300 g), washed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons honey, preferably raw or local
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Lightly brush the skin with 1 tablespoon olive oil and season both sides with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Toss the broccoli florets with the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Spread them out evenly in the air fryer basket to avoid overcrowding.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar until well combined and smooth.
  4. Air fry the broccoli at 400°F (200°C) for about 6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on top of the broccoli. Brush the tops of the salmon with half of the honey garlic sauce. Air fry everything together at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes until the salmon skin is crisp and the flesh is opaque and flaky.
  6. Brush the salmon once more with the remaining honey garlic sauce immediately after removing from the air fryer for a sticky, glossy finish.
  7. Serve the salmon and broccoli immediately, garnished with red pepper flakes or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Pat salmon dry thoroughly to ensure crispy skin. Apply honey garlic sauce in two stages to prevent burning. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for best crispiness. If air fryer basket is small, cook broccoli first, keep warm, then cook salmon separately.
