An effortless and elegant charcuterie board perfect for Easter or spring celebrations, featuring a balanced mix of creamy cheeses, fresh fruits, pastel sweets, and savory meats.

Ingredients

  • Goat cheese, creamy and spreadable
  • Aged cheddar, sliced thin
  • Soft brie, whole wheel
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Salami, mild and thinly sliced
  • Strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Green grapes, washed
  • Cucumber slices, thin rounds
  • Baby carrots, peeled
  • Radishes, thinly sliced
  • Macarons in soft pink, lavender, and mint (store-bought or homemade)
  • Pastel-colored jelly beans or candy-coated almonds
  • Edible flowers like pansies or violets (optional)
  • Mini croissants or sliced baguette
  • Assorted crackers, plain and herb-flavored
  • Honey or fig jam
  • Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, lightly toasted)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme sprigs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: Lay your serving board or platter on a clean surface. Arrange small bowls or ramekins for honey, jam, and nuts around the edges to anchor the display. (5 minutes)
  2. Slice and prep: Thinly slice the aged cheddar and salami. Cut the cucumber into rounds and radishes into thin coins. Halve the strawberries and wash the grapes. (10 minutes)
  3. Arrange cheeses: Place the brie wheel slightly off-center as a focal point. Arrange goat cheese in a small mound or spread it artistically on a cracker. Fan out cheddar slices nearby. (5 minutes)
  4. Add meats: Drape prosciutto loosely to create volume and fold salami slices in small piles. Keep meats near cheese for easy pairing. (5 minutes)
  5. Place breads and crackers: Fill in gaps with mini croissants and crackers, alternating shapes and colors to create visual interest. (3 minutes)
  6. Add fresh fruits and veggies: Scatter grapes and strawberry halves in clusters for bursts of color. Lay cucumber and radish slices in neat rows or small piles. Add baby carrots standing upright for texture. (7 minutes)
  7. Add pastel accents: Nestle macarons and pastel candies strategically around the board, mixing colors for balance. Add edible flowers if using. (5 minutes)
  8. Finish with garnishes: Drizzle honey or dollop fig jam into ramekins. Sprinkle toasted nuts and tuck fresh herb sprigs around the board. (3 minutes)
  9. Final check: Step back and fill any empty spaces with extra crackers, fruit, or herbs to avoid bare spots. The board should look full but not overcrowded. (2 minutes)

Notes

Keep chilled items like cheeses and macarons refrigerated until just before serving. Assemble most of the board ahead but add delicate pastel macarons and fresh herbs last minute. For gluten-free, swap breads and crackers with gluten-free varieties or extra veggies. For dairy-free, use nut-based vegan cheeses or omit cheese and add more fruits and nuts.
