An effortless and elegant brunch charcuterie board featuring flaky croissants, creamy brie, fresh fruit, and savory accents, perfect for casual gatherings or unexpected guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 large buttery croissants (store-bought or bakery fresh)
  • 1 small wheel brie cheese (about 8 oz / 225 g), creamy triple-cream variety
  • 1 cup red grapes (150 g), washed and stemmed
  • 1 large apple, thinly sliced (preferably Fuji or Honeycrisp)
  • 46 fresh figs, halved (or seasonal berries as substitute)
  • 4 oz thinly sliced prosciutto or favorite cured meats (115 g)
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts (75 g), such as almonds or walnuts
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (a few) for garnish
  • Crackers or baguette slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring the brie to room temperature (about 20-30 minutes) to make it soft and spreadable.
  2. Slice the croissants in half horizontally or into smaller pieces for easy picking and filling.
  3. Wash and prepare the fruit: rinse grapes and figs gently; slice apples thinly and toss in a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
  4. Arrange the brie wheel or a large wedge on the serving board as the centerpiece; optionally score the top to encourage gentle melting.
  5. Fan out the croissants around the cheese for an attractive presentation.
  6. Scatter the fruit clusters (grapes, apple slices, figs) in small piles around the board.
  7. Layer the prosciutto or cured meats by folding or rolling slices and tucking them into open spaces.
  8. Place small bowls or ramekins with honey and mixed nuts on the board.
  9. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for aroma and visual appeal.
  10. Drizzle honey lightly over the brie or fruit just before serving for a glossy, sweet finish.

Notes

Let brie come to room temperature for best flavor and texture. For gluten-free option, substitute croissants with gluten-free rolls or crispbread. For vegan option, use dairy-free brie alternative and replace honey with maple syrup. Brie can be served cold or gently warmed. Leftovers keep up to 2 days refrigerated; reheat croissants in 350°F oven for 5 minutes to refresh flakiness.
