Strawberry Açaí Refresher - featured image

A quick and easy homemade version of the famous strawberry açaí refresher, blending frozen strawberries, açaí juice, and sparkling water for a refreshing, fruity drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen strawberries (fresh can be used)
  • 1 cup (240ml) açaí juice (pure or blend with no added sugars)
  • 1 cup (240ml) cold water or sparkling water
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) simple syrup (homemade or store-bought, adjust sweetness to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Measure about 1 cup (150g) of frozen strawberries. If using fresh, wash and hull them first.
  2. Place the frozen strawberries in a blender. Add 2 tablespoons (30ml) of simple syrup and 1 tablespoon (15ml) of fresh lemon juice. Blend on high until smooth but still slightly thick, about 30-40 seconds. Pulse if needed to avoid overheating.
  3. Pour the strawberry puree into a large glass or pitcher. Add 1 cup (240ml) of pure açaí juice and stir gently to combine, creating a rich pink hue.
  4. Slowly pour 1 cup (240ml) of cold sparkling water (or still water) into the mixture. Stir gently to maintain some fizz and create an ombré effect.
  5. Fill your glass with ice cubes to chill the drink and balance sweetness and tartness.
  6. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves or a lemon slice on the rim. Serve immediately for best taste and texture.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup. Use sparkling water for fizz and ombré effect; add it last to preserve carbonation. Frozen strawberries create a thicker texture. Can substitute simple syrup with honey or agave for natural sweeteners. Store refrigerated up to 24 hours; stir before serving again.
