This creamy loaded buffalo chicken ranch dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser, combining spicy buffalo sauce, cool ranch, tender chicken, and gooey cheese for an irresistible appetizer that disappears in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/3 cup buffalo hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Optional: 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch or 8-inch baking dish.
  2. Soften the cream cheese if needed (microwave on low power for 15-20 seconds).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing, and dry ranch seasoning mix. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  4. Add the buffalo hot sauce and mix on low speed until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust spiciness if desired.
  5. Gently fold in the shredded chicken, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and all of the Monterey Jack cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are bubbly and top is melted and lightly golden. For a deeper crust, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching carefully.
  9. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and crumbled blue cheese (if using).
  10. Serve immediately with chips, celery sticks, or other dippers.

Notes

For best results, use block cream cheese (not spreadable), shred your own cheese, and let the dip rest for 5 minutes after baking. The dip can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking. To reheat, bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or microwave in 30-second bursts.
