A quick and easy Halloween charcuterie board that combines sharp cheddar, creamy brie, prosciutto, and fun-size candy bars for a sweet and savory crowd-pleaser. Perfect for last-minute guests or a spooky movie night.

Ingredients

  • Sharp cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
  • Brie or camembert, at room temperature
  • Goat cheese log (optional)
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Salami or pepperoni slices
  • Fun-size milk chocolate bars (Snickers, Milky Way, or your favorite), chopped in half
  • Candy corn or candy pumpkins
  • Caramel candies, unwrapped
  • Dark chocolate-covered pretzels
  • Red grapes, washed and left in small clusters
  • Apple slices, tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning
  • Dried figs or dates (optional)
  • Mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts), toasted if desired
  • Crackers and breadsticks (plain water crackers and buttery rounds)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
  • Edible glitter or Halloween sprinkles (optional)
  • Small Halloween-themed picks or flags (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start with the cheese. Place sharp cheddar in one corner of the board and brie in the opposite corner. Slice cheddar into 1-inch cubes; cut brie into wedges. If using goat cheese, place it in the center.
  2. Add the meat. Fold prosciutto into loose ribbons or waves and arrange near the brie. Place salami slices in a small pile or fan them out.
  3. Arrange the candy. Place fun-size chocolate bars in a small bowl or directly on the board, chopped in half. Scatter candy corn or candy pumpkins in small clusters. Drop caramel candies near the apple slices.
  4. Fill in with fruit and crunch. Place small clusters of red grapes in empty spaces. Arrange apple slices in a fan pattern near the cheddar. Add dried figs or dates in a small bowl or directly on the board. Sprinkle mixed nuts in remaining gaps.
  5. Add the crackers and breadsticks. Fill spaces between larger items with crackers, creating little ‘paths.’ Place breadsticks in a small cup or lay across the board. Add dark chocolate-covered pretzels.
  6. Garnish and serve. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs between cheese and fruit. Dust edible glitter or Halloween sprinkles lightly over candy. Add Halloween-themed picks if desired. Serve immediately, or cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. If refrigerating, let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, let brie come to room temperature 30 minutes before serving. Keep candy in small bowls to prevent melting. If board is too crowded, use a second smaller board or plate for crackers. For a dairy-free version, use cashew-based brie and vegan cheddar. For gluten-free, choose gluten-free crackers and pretzels.
