Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 10-inch cast iron skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream unsalted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until fully combined and smooth.
