A simple, wholesome snack bar made with just five ingredients, offering a moist, chewy texture and balanced natural sweetness. Perfect for quick energy boosts and on-the-go snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup (250 g) peanut butter, creamy or chunky
  • 1 cup (30 g) vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 cup (90 g) rolled oats (gluten-free if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl using a fork or potato masher until smooth with a few small lumps remaining (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Stir in peanut butter and honey or maple syrup until well combined and glossy.
  4. Gradually fold in vanilla protein powder and rolled oats, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and press evenly and firmly to avoid crumbly bars.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until edges turn golden and center is set but slightly soft.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for about 20 minutes, then lift out using parchment overhang and cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Cut into 8-10 bars depending on preferred size and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness. Avoid overmixing to keep bars chewy, not dense. Press mixture firmly into pan to prevent crumbling. Bars freeze well; wrap individually for quick snacks. Adjust oats or peanut butter if mixture is too wet or dry.
