This easy candy corn popcorn bark is a quick, festive Halloween treat that combines salty popcorn, sweet candy corn, and creamy white chocolate into irresistible clusters. Perfect for parties, it’s ready in about 15 minutes of active time and disappears fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels, or one standard bag of microwave popcorn, lightly salted)
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups candy corn
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup festive Halloween sprinkles
  • Flaky sea salt for finishing

Instructions

  1. Prepare your popcorn. If popping kernels, let cool completely. If using microwave popcorn, pop according to package directions, then spread on a baking sheet to cool for about 5 minutes. Pick out any unpopped kernels.
  2. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper, extending up the sides.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, gently toss together the cooled popcorn, candy corn, and peanuts (if using).
  4. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until smooth (about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes total).
  5. Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Fold with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the coated mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Spread into an even layer, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, leaving some areas thicker for chunkier pieces.
  7. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on the Halloween sprinkles and a generous pinch of flaky sea salt.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set. Alternatively, let set at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  9. Once set, lift the parchment paper out of the pan. Break the bark into irregular pieces with your hands.

Notes

Don’t overheat the white chocolate; melt at 50% power. Popcorn must be completely cool before adding chocolate. Work quickly once chocolate is melted. For extra crunch, toast peanuts first. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Freezes well for up to 3 months. Add flaky salt just before serving.
