These turkey pinwheel wraps are a quick, healthy, and kid-friendly snack made with simple ingredients like turkey, cream cheese, and spinach rolled in a tortilla. Perfect for lunches, snacks, or picnic treats, they come together in under 15 minutes and are loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Large flour tortillas (8-inch size; whole wheat optional)
  • Thinly sliced deli turkey breast (low-sodium, nitrate-free preferred)
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
  • Fresh baby spinach leaves (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Honey (about 1 teaspoon) or a small pinch of garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 8 oz softened cream cheese with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or Greek yogurt. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, and if desired, 1 teaspoon honey or a pinch of garlic powder. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Place one 8-inch flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Layer 3-4 thin slices of deli turkey evenly over the cream cheese, covering the tortilla but not overlapping too thickly.
  4. Scatter about 1/4 cup fresh baby spinach leaves evenly over the turkey. Sprinkle 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese on top. Optional: add thin cucumber slices or bell pepper strips.
  5. Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla tightly but gently to keep the filling snug inside without squeezing out.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled tortilla into 1-inch thick rounds, aiming for 8 pinwheels per wrap. Remove uneven edges if needed.
  7. Arrange the pinwheels on a plate or airtight container. Serve fresh or refrigerate up to 24 hours, covered tightly to prevent drying.

Notes

Let cream cheese sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before mixing to make spreading easier. Warm tortillas for 10 seconds in microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel if they feel dry or brittle. Use a sharp knife for clean slices. Store pinwheels in an airtight container and consume within 24 hours. Avoid freezing as texture changes.
