These creamy, make-ahead chia pudding cups are the perfect solution for busy mornings. With just five minutes of prep and simple ingredients, you’ll have a week’s worth of healthy, satisfying breakfasts ready to grab and go.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons (45g) chia seeds
  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, sliced banana, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, granola, nut butter, cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Measure your ingredients: 3 tablespoons chia seeds, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt.
  2. In a small bowl or mason jar, whisk together the almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt until the sweetener is dissolved.
  3. Sprinkle the chia seeds into the liquid while whisking continuously to prevent clumps. Whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds until evenly distributed.
  4. Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes, then stir again to prevent seeds from settling.
  5. Pour the mixture into jars or containers, leaving room for toppings.
  6. Seal jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Before serving, stir the pudding and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a thicker pudding that sets faster, use 3 tablespoons chia seeds to 3/4 cup milk. The pudding keeps for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Add toppings just before serving to keep them fresh. The flavors improve after a day or two.
